Uninstalling EarnKit stops the app and removes its blocks from your store. Some things stay behind, and your data is deleted on a schedule.
What stays in Shopify
The points metafields already written to your customers stay in Shopify until you delete them yourself. Uninstalling EarnKit doesn’t remove them.
What EarnKit deletes, and when
Shopify asks EarnKit to erase your store’s data 48 hours after you uninstall. From that point:
- Your points activity history, balances, redemptions and program settings are deleted within 30 days.
- Copies in our backups age out within 29 days.
Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.
Before you uninstall
If you want a copy of your customer points or earning data, download it first from Settings › Data. See Export your data.
Good to know
- Usage from before you uninstall may still appear on your Shopify bill.
