EarnKit in the Shopify admin

The Loyalty points block on orders and the loyalty actions on customer pages.

Last reviewed

EarnKit adds a few things directly to your Shopify admin, so you don’t always need to open the app to check or change a customer’s points.

Before you start

These are Shopify admin features. You don’t need to turn them on in EarnKit, but the order block described below needs to be added to your order page once.

The Loyalty points block on orders

On an order’s details page in Shopify, you can add a Loyalty points block that shows:

  • Whether the order earned points, and how many
  • The eligible amount the points were calculated on, and the earn rate used
  • Whether any of the points were later reversed, for example after a refund
  • The settings version used and the refunded eligible amount

If points for the order haven’t been calculated yet, the block says so. If the order earned nothing, or its points are still pending until a pending period passes, the block shows that instead.

To add the block, open an order in Shopify, then add and pin the Loyalty points block from the order page’s customization options. Shopify requires you to do this once before the block appears on order pages.

Adjust loyalty points, from a customer’s page

On a customer’s details page in Shopify, open More actions and select Adjust loyalty points to credit or debit that customer’s points, and to cancel a reward code they can still use. Canceling a code doesn’t give back the points it cost or delete the discount in Shopify; both are separate steps. See Adjust a customer’s points and Cancel a reward code.

Good to know

  • These features work only from an order’s or a customer’s own page in Shopify, one at a time. There’s no bulk version.
  • Money and points shown here always come from EarnKit; nothing here can be edited except through the Adjust loyalty points action.
