Points aren’t showing on your store
Check each display is added in Shopify and marked as added in EarnKit.
Last reviewed
EarnKit can show points in several places. Each one needs adding and saving in Shopify’s editor. EarnKit can detect most placements automatically; the Rewards page also needs you to confirm that you’ve linked it from the customer account menu. If a display isn’t showing, check the following.
It hasn’t been added in Shopify’s editor
Each display is its own block or embed, added from a different place:
| Display | Where it’s added |
|---|---|
| Points on product pages | Online Store › Themes › Customize |
| Points on the Thank you page | Checkout and customer accounts editor, Thank you page |
| Points on the Order status page | Checkout and customer accounts editor, Order status page |
| Points on the Orders page | Checkout and customer accounts editor, Orders page |
The product page block is on the wrong template
The points block for product pages can only be added to the product template. It won’t appear if added anywhere else.
The display needs current customer accounts
Points on the Orders page and the Order status page only render in Shopify’s current customer accounts. On a store still using legacy customer accounts, these displays can’t appear at all. See Shopify’s current customer accounts.
The product page estimate needs purchase earning on
The product page display shows an earning estimate, not a settled balance. It only shows something once Award purchase points is turned on in Program › Ways to Earn. A block that’s placed correctly shows nothing while that setting is off.
The Rewards page hasn’t been confirmed in EarnKit
EarnKit detects each display from Shopify’s own records without any action from you. The Rewards page is the exception: EarnKit can confirm the page renders, but it cannot see whether it’s linked from your customer account menu. Go back to the Rewards page’s setup page and choose Menu link added once you’ve linked it, so EarnKit knows the whole walkthrough is done.
