Referral activity

Track each referral from the friend’s visit to awarded points, and the evidence behind it.

Last reviewed

The Referrals view under Activity lists every referral conversion in your store, from the friend’s qualifying order to the points your customer received.

Before you start

Go to Activity, then select Referrals. See Points activity for the other view.

Filtering

Use Referral status to filter to Pending, Confirmed, Not eligible or Reversed referrals, or leave it on All statuses.

What each row shows

Each row shows when the referral qualified, the points involved, the friend and the referrer, the order amount, and the referral’s status.

The referral’s full detail

Select a row to see everything recorded about that referral:

  • Referrer and Friend, each linking to their profile
  • Qualifying order, linking to the order in Shopify
  • Evidence for how the referral was attributed
  • Order amount, and, if the order was later refunded, the remaining eligible amount
  • Points promised and Points awarded
  • A timeline: Qualified, Approval due, and, once decided, Approved, Rejected or Reversed
  • Links to the points activity entries for the reward and, if it happened, its reversal

Good to know

  • Customer names and email addresses don’t show yet where EarnKit can’t reach them from Shopify; the customer’s reference is used instead.
  • A rejected referral is a normal outcome of your referral rules, not a fault. A reversed referral means points that were already awarded came back, usually because the qualifying order was refunded.
