Social follow points
When this step is done, customers can earn by following your store.
In EarnKit: Program › Ways to Earn
Social follow points reward customers for following your store on social media. Customers confirm the follow themselves; EarnKit can’t see who actually follows you.
Before you start
Go to Program › Ways to Earn, and make sure Enable ways to earn is on.

How many points to give
50 points is a good default. It is enticing enough that a customer will bother, and low enough that it does not matter much when someone claims it without following.
That second half is the real constraint. EarnKit cannot see your follower list, so a claim is a customer saying they followed you, not proof that they did. Price it as what it is: a small thank you for a small action, on an honour system. Anything approaching the value of a reward turns a free click into a free discount.
You can run up to three channels, each with its own amount, and a customer can claim each one once, ever.
Set up a social channel
- Turn on Award social follow points.
- Select Add social channel.
- Choose the Platform: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, or X / Twitter.
- Enter the Profile handle or URL customers should follow.
- Set Points for following, a whole number of at least 1.
- Turn on Channel is on, then save the channel and the section.
You can run up to three channels at once. Turn one off to add another.
What customers see
On their rewards page, under Follow us for points, customers see each channel you’ve turned on and how many points it’s worth. Selecting Follow opens your profile in a new tab and records their claim at the same time. Once claimed, the channel shows as completed and can’t be claimed again.
Good to know
- A follow is self-attested: EarnKit doesn’t verify it with the platform. The claim button is the customer’s own confirmation.
- Each customer can claim a channel once, ever.
- Turning a channel off keeps its settings; customers just aren’t offered it. You can turn it back on later without retyping the profile.
- Points for an existing claim aren’t affected by later changes to a channel’s points amount.
