Loyalty points for Shopify

Give customers something to come back for.

Let customers earn points on purchases and exchange them for discounts on future orders. You choose the points and rewards. They use their account with your store.

Every EarnKit feature included. Pricing made for small businesses.

Example store and customer data. You choose the points and rewards.

Points on this purchase. A reward for the next.

Choose how many points customers earn and the discount they can get with them. Start with one reward, or add more for customers to work toward.

  1. They earn points

Eligible paid purchases earn points at your chosen rate.

  2. They get a reward

Customers exchange available points for a discount code from their store account.

  3. They use it and keep earning

They apply the code to a future order. Eligible spending after discounts can earn points toward another reward.

One customer, two orders

Example at 5 points per $1 with a $5 reward for 500 points, not a recommended rate for every store. Shipping and taxes are not included.

Rewards that feel like part of your store.

Customers find their points and discount codes in their account with your store. No separate loyalty login, and no new system for them to learn.

  • Before they buy

Show shoppers how many points they could earn, right on the product page.

  • After an order

Show points from their purchase on the Thank you and Order status pages.

  • In their account

Give customers one place to see available points, choose rewards, and find codes they have already claimed.

Example store and customer data. You choose where these displays appear and save the changes in Shopify. Installing EarnKit does not add them automatically.

More ways to say thank you.

Start with purchases. Add other ways to earn when they fit your store.

  • Welcome points

Offer a one-time welcome award. Choose whether EarnKit adds it automatically on a customer's first signed-in visit to their Rewards page, or asks them to claim it there.

  • Birthday points

Give customers points on their birthday. They add their month and day, and eligible birthday points are awarded automatically.

  • Social follow points

Let customers claim points for following your social accounts.

  • Referrals

Thank customers with points when a friend makes a first qualifying purchase.

Choose which methods to use and how many points to award. You do not need to turn everything on.

Look after the customers you already have.

Give existing customers a head start

Upload past spending to work out starting points, or import available balances from another loyalty app. Review the proposed amounts before adding them.

Know why a balance changed

See the purchases, rewards, refunds, and adjustments behind each balance. When a customer has a points question, you have a clear history in front of you.

Starting balances to review

A few choices. Then a program that fits your store.

  1. Choose points and rewards

Set your purchase rate and first reward with your margins and other promotions in mind. You can change your settings as you learn what works.

  2. Include existing customers

Add starting balances if you need them, and review the results before you continue.

  3. Make rewards part of your store

Add the Rewards page and choose where else to show points using the guided setup in EarnKit.

You decide when points earning starts. Turning it on and adding the customer-facing displays are separate choices.

Questions

A few things worth knowing.

Do customers need another account?

No separate EarnKit account is needed. Customers use their account with your store. The Rewards page uses Shopify’s current customer accounts; stores using legacy accounts need to review that setup first.

Do customers spend points directly at checkout?

They exchange points for a discount code in their store account, then use that code at checkout. Points are not paid out as cash.

When do purchase points become available?

Purchase points are based on eligible paid orders. Your settings determine whether they become available after payment or after a waiting period. Pending points are separate from the points a customer can use.

Can I add points for past purchases or switch from another loyalty app?

Yes. Upload spending to calculate starting points, or upload existing points balances. Each import is reviewed before points are added. Include starting balances before customers begin earning where possible; customers with existing EarnKit points activity may need an individual adjustment instead. Moving the same number of points does not automatically preserve their old reward value, so check your new rewards too.

What happens when an order is refunded?

EarnKit adjusts the purchase points associated with qualifying refunds on orders that earned them. Starting balances are separate credits and are not automatically linked to individual past orders.

Do I need a bigger plan for more rewards or earning methods?

No. Every EarnKit feature is included at every size. Start with one reward or add more, and choose the earning methods that suit your store. Your order volume affects the app charge, not which features you can access.

Every EarnKit feature. A small-business price.

Start with the points and rewards that make sense for your store, and add more when you’re ready.
