Points activity

Search and filter every points change: earned, reversed, adjusted and redeemed.

Last reviewed

The Points view under Activity lists every points movement across your store, from every customer, in one table.

Before you start

Go to Activity. Points is the first view; Referrals is covered in Referral activity.

Searching and filtering

  • Search by an order, refund or redemption reference.
  • Filter by date range (From / To).
  • Filter by Type: Earned, Redeemed, Reversed, Adjusted, Compensation or Transfer. Compensation is when EarnKit returns points because a reward code could not be issued. Transfer is when a customer’s balance moves during a Shopify customer merge.
  • Filter by Activity: Order, Refund, Reward, Birthday, Account creation or Social follow. Account creation is welcome points. They are recorded on the first eligible Rewards page visit, or when the customer claims them, depending on your setting.
  • Sort Newest first or Oldest first.
  • Choose 25 or 50 rows per page, and show or hide columns (ID, Date, Points, Type, Activity, Customer, Status, Balance after).

What each row shows

Every row can show a date, a points change, a status (Confirmed, Pending, Canceled or Reversed), the type of activity, the customer, and the balance after that change. Select a row to see its full detail, including any staff reason and, for a pending row, when it’s expected to be confirmed.

Good to know

  • A pending row is a promise of points, not yet a payment; it doesn’t affect the customer’s available balance until it’s confirmed.
  • Showing the running Balance after column across a shop-wide feed can be confusing, since it jumps between customers. It’s most useful when you’re looking at one customer, from their profile.
